His research interests focus on the exercise-induced cellular and molecular responses of human skeletal muscle and the influence of diet and nutrition on modulating these responses. As an early stage researcher, James has been awarded with Young Investigator Awards from the British Association of Sports and Exercise Sciences and the European College of Sport Sciences. Outside of teaching and research commitments, James also provides nutritional support to professional soccer players and both professional and amateur boxers.
